Safeguarding at Hope Community Church Manchester

Key Principles

  • The “Paramountcy Principle” – that means when it comes to a child or vulnerable adult, their safety and wellbeing is the highest priority for HopeCC. Even more than any concerns related to GDPR or requests for confidentiality from individuals.
  • Clear Reporting System – use of Incident Report Form in the event of an incident or disclosure related to Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (VA’s) and/or children.
  • Mutual Accountability – this includes within our meetings indoors, use of communal spaces and any transporting of children and/or (VA’s).

“Jesus invitation, “Let the little children come to Me,” was a compelling phrase, and one of many things that shape how we approach safeguarding children and vulnerable adults at Hope Community Church Manchester. We take this seriously and want to do all we can to minimise risk of harm being caused to both children and vulnerable adults during our activities and outreach.”

— Pete Askew, Pastor at Hope Community Church MCR
